Founder of the Chopra Addiction and Wellness Center, Vedic Educator
In addition to being a Vedic Educator, certified in Primordial Sound Meditation, Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga, and Perfect Health: Ayurvedic Lifestyle, Nirmala is an addiction specialist and the founder of the Chopra Addiction and Wellness Center—a residential addiction recovery treatment center in Squamish Valley, B.C., Canada. The Chopra Addiction and Wellness Center offers holistic recovery programs based on the Freedom from Addiction approach developed by Deepak Chopra, M.D. and David Simon, M.D. Combining modern Western medicine with Eastern healing traditions the Chopra Addiction treatment program includes instruction in meditation, yoga, and other mind-body wellness practices.

For Nirmala, work is more than just a career, it’s a calling. For the past 25 years, by combining her business acumen with her inherent sense of compassion, she has enabled hundreds of people with addiction and emotional issues to regain control of their lives. She believes that life is precious and priceless, and that we all deserve to live in the present and experience joy and healthy relationships.
