Why You Should Become an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Teacher
As a physician, I have come to understand the impact that lifestyle choices have in preventing chronic disease. And although approximately 90% of chronic diseases can be prevented by lifestyle, we are seeing all chronic diseases on the rise around the globe.

In an age where people have access to more information than ever before, people are more confused about what to do in regard to their health. Since there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ formula for health, people can get confused, or even create more imbalances, when they jump onto the latest fad. When things don’t work for them, they lose their motivation to participate in their own wellbeing at all.

One thing that is becoming clear is that the future of health care is personalized, predictive, preventive, and participatory. Luckily, there is already a system of health, that has been proven over thousands of years, that gives us the foundational principles and tools to meet all of these criteria. That foundation is the healing system of Ayurveda.
Ayurveda gives us simple, practical tools that we can teach people to create more well-being in their lives.
Ayurveda gives us simple, practical tools that we can teach people to create more well-being in their lives. If you are motivated to heal yourself and help others heal, look no further than the teachings of Ayurveda.

Ayurveda gives us a complete mind, body, spirit framework for health and wellbeing. By addressing all of the aspects of our lives – physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual – we can find true wellbeing within ourselves.

The core principles in Ayurveda can help everyone, while also acknowledging and honoring our differences:

Ayurveda is Personalized

Ayurveda recognizes that we are all unique and that we all have the ability to make the right choices for ourselves by understanding our unique mind-body type, or dosha. By helping people understand their nature and natural tendencies, you validate their life experience and build trust as an educator.

As an Ayurvedic lifestyle teacher, you are able to give everyone the knowledge they need to make the best choices for themselves, as opposed to teachings that only help a certain type of individual.

Ayurveda is Predictive

By teaching people to understand their unique mind-body type, they begin to understand what choices will create more balance and which ones will lead away from balance. By understanding their own mind-body type, they can predict how things are likely to affect them, whether it’s food, exercise, sounds, or any type of sensory input.

Ayurveda is Preventive

As people learn to predict how their choices affect them as individuals and make choices toward more balance and self-regulation, they are effectively preventing illness and disease. Ayurveda is a healing system that favors not only preventing disease, but also creates health on an everyday basis through daily practices and routines.

Ayurveda is Participatory

As an Ayurvedic teacher, you empower people to take their health into their own hands and participate in creating their own wellbeing. When people understand why they experience things in their own unique way and learn the power of their daily choices and lifestyle, they feel more empowered to participate in their health.

In addition, as you learn Ayurvedic practices and incorporate them into your own life, you get to experience healing and balance yourself. Not only will you help to transform others, but you also begin your own journey of self-transformation and healing. As an active participant in your own health, and by sharing your experiences, you will inspire others.

A Community of Healing

In my years as an Ayurvedic educator, I have witnessed firsthand the impact that the self-empowering teachings of Ayurveda have had on people. Teaching people the Ayurvedic lifestyle allows them to create health and well-being every day.

By becoming an Ayurvedic lifestyle teacher, you can be a part of a growing community of educators that inspire, transform, and heal. You help awaken the inner healer within you, and in those around you, to create a healthier, happier world. What could be better than that?
