We want to build houses for the homeless and travel the world to feed starving children. While these are laudable goals, more often than not, it is the small acts of kindness that are actually available to us. The late American author and educator, Leo Buscaglia, said, “Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
As you infuse your day with small gestures of warmth, not only do you connect to Spirit, but you become the channel through which it moves. There is no kindness too small, no thoughtful gesture unneeded, no goodwill unnecessary.
